Nguyễn Gia Trí — A Vietnamese Lacquer Legend is available to pre-order now and is expected to be published in January 2027. That date is an estimate. Printing, hand-lacquering, and international shipping of a limited edition are not exact processes, and the Foundation does not guarantee a specific publication date or final specifications.
Because of that, you may cancel a pre-order at any time before it ships and receive a full refund of everything you paid, including any shipping charged. Write to info@pictureartfoundation.org from the address you ordered with, or reply to your order confirmation, and say which order you wish to cancel. No reason is required.
If the expected publication window changes materially, the Foundation will tell everyone holding a pre-order, and the right to cancel for a full refund continues to apply.
The Foundation does not accept returns or exchanges on delivered items.
The Collector's Edition and the Deluxe Edition are numbered, hand-finished objects produced in small quantity, each with an original etching and a presentation box lacquered by hand. No two boxes are identical, which is the point of them, and a returned copy cannot be resold as the copy it was.
Nothing in this section affects your rights in respect of an item that is damaged, defective, or not as described. Those rights cannot be waived and are dealt with in section 3.
If an item arrives damaged or defective, or does not arrive, tell us within 14 days of delivery, or of the expected delivery date if it never came. Write to info@pictureartfoundation.org with your order number and, for damage, photographs of the item and its packaging.
The Foundation will replace the item where a replacement is available, or refund it in full where one is not. You will not be asked to pay return shipping in either case.
Variation in the lacquer of a presentation box is not a defect. Each box is finished by hand in the traditional Vietnamese process and the colour, flow, and pattern of every one differs. This is described on the product page before purchase.
Memberships renew automatically until cancelled, monthly or annually according to the plan chosen at checkout.
You may cancel at any time, through the link in any membership email or by writing to info@pictureartfoundation.org. On cancellation the Foundation refunds the unused portion of the term already paid for, calculated from the date the cancellation is received.
Cancelling stops all future charges. Member benefits end when the refunded term ends.
Contributions to the Foundation are charitable gifts, and are not refundable once received. A recurring contribution may be stopped at any time and no further charges will be taken.
If a contribution was made in error, for example a duplicate charge or an amount entered incorrectly, write to info@pictureartfoundation.org within 30 days and the Foundation will put it right.
Where a contribution has already been acknowledged in a printed publication, the acknowledgment cannot be withdrawn once the book has gone to press.
Refunds are issued to the original payment method. Once approved, they are usually processed within five business days, though how quickly the money appears depends on your bank or card issuer.
